Therefore, it should come as no surprise when people take up several tasks simultaneously and hope to complete them within the allocated time.
We all seem to be in a race against time. In fact, there is a chance that this article is not the only thing you are doing right now. Oops...you are multitasking.

Another important thing to note is that multitasking has become a trait or skillset that is highly desired and sort after. It has become one of the soft skills recruiters are always looking out for.

Multitasking refers to the ability of undertaking two or more tasks simultaneously. It might seem laborious, but we have all been culprit at one time or the other. Holding the phone to the ears while trying to carry out some work on the computer. In our day to day activities, we multitask. How to Improve Efficiency
In an age where everything has gone digital, it is quite easy to get overwhelmed and tired from multitasking. When the fatigue sets in, mistakes are inevitable, and efficiency is reduced. Below are some tips on how to prevent crises like this as well as improve efficiency
  1. Embrace your limits. You must be aware of your limitations and recognize that there are some circumstances beyond your control. There are only 24hours in a day. Resources are limited. Do not be too quick to take on a lot of assignments or projects. This is one of the shortcomings of a freelancer.  You feel because you own your time, you can take on any project and deliver. Most times, you only realize that you have bitten off more than they can chew when it is too late. Only take on tasks and projects that you can honestly and truly complete within your stipulated working hours.
  1. Have a To-do list. This is a great way for improving your efficiency. Having a proper to-do list will make you clearly understand the distinction between urgent and important. Urgent tasks are the ones with tight deadlines looming while important ones are the ones with a long-time sustainability. A to-do list helps your psychology because it sets the tone not the urgency.
  1. Concentrate. One tricky part of multitasking that people are willing to point out is the fact that you can get easily distracted and lose contraction. Always avoid distractions and procrastination.
  1. Divide your tasks or projects into groups and attend to related ones together. When you sort them into groups, it helps you to effectively manage your time.
