Are there “FREE” tech bootcamps?

Picture
Tech bootcamps are redefining the way people are equipped, trained, and mentored for careers in the tech industry. These bootcamps adopt a direct training approach. They focus on specific courses which allows you get just the needed skillset for your dream job. And within 3 – 6 months you are ready to start your career in tech.

Without a doubt, bootcamps are the future of learning.
Before now, bootcamps were easy to recommend. Once you are decided that you want to start a career in tech, you simply find a tech bootcamp that suits your person – you sign up!
But, with the price of bootcamps almost at par with the cost of running a college degree, bootcamps are considered an expensive alternative to degrees.

Even bootcamps with “cheap” tags still come with hefty prices. And worse, bootcamps that present themselves as “free” still end up demanding for money as you progress. This is because the organizers of these bootcamps are private people. Free bootcamp is just a business strategy.
Unfortunately, it works. People sign up in numbers, only to get disappointed.

The question then
stays, are there “free” bootcamps?

Thanks to non-profits
emerging in the design and tech industry with the sole aim of bridging the talent gap in the industry by providing people with more opportunities, free bootcamps are not only free, but highly effective.

These non-profit organizations have access to funds and resources which affords their students access to quality tutors and materials. In fact, some profit organizations cannot boost to offer half the resources of these nonprofits.

Tech bootcamps as organized by non-profits are purpose driven. Sometimes restricted to specific locations or group of persons. But the bright side, is that they continue to expand their scope. And at the end, everybody is touched.

Non-profits like the Brave Achievers Foundation are actively empowering under-represented minorities in the US tech workforce. Our current focus is California. And as time progresses, we will spread to other parts of the USA. If you fall within our current scope, kindly sign up.
